The Myrtle Avenue Business Improvement District (BID) was established in 1988. Our organization helps to make Myrtle Avenue, from Wyckoff Avenue to Fresh Pond Road in Ridgewood, a great place to shop and do business by keeping the streets clean, safe, green and lively with programs and events. As the voice of the local merchant and real estate community, we work to ensure that the retail mix is meeting shopper needs, and that Myrtle Avenue is an ideal place for new and thriving businesses.
Our site provides you with information about who we are, a database of Myrtle Avenue’s over 300 retail businesses, and information about our programs & services including our Market Analysis & Retail Attraction Program. Myrtle Avenue Pollinator Pathway
Hello Potential Volunteers for Ecological Gardening,
Myrtle Avenue Pollinator Pathway’s first big planting day is nearly upon us—this Saturday, October 24th. Still on the fence about whether or not to volunteer? How about sending this to a friend who might also be interested and you can show up as a team?
Here is a refresher on the day’s activities:
11am - Meet and dig up the plants we want to replace
12pm - Prepare the soil as needed for the new plants
1pm - Arrange and plant the new plants
2pm - Mulch the planting and add finishing touches
3pm - Clean up and eat some pizza from Joe and John’s
4pm - Repeat this process, only with less effort required, at the planter on the corner of Catalpa and Myrtle
